About the Orchestra

The East Riding Concert Orchestra, is a new professional orchestra formed by Richard Grantham in 2021 and based in Beverley. It aims to provide East Yorkshire with a professional concert orchestra performing a wide-ranging repertoire of entertaining orchestral music including popular classics , theatre music, song and dance classics, jazz, and film music.
The idea for the orchestra has been in the mind of the founder for many years after growing up with the sounds of the BBC Concert Orchestra in such staple events as BBC2's 'Friday Night is Music Night and the incredible performances of the Boston'Pops' Orchestra under the baton of legendary film composer John Williams.
